2. Order Starlink
Order from Starlink, or buy hardware from a verified reseller. Hardware may be rented; any activation fee and terms are shown at checkout. Canada's Starlink Terms (DOC-1022-91014-56) allow a rental kit with an activation fee, and the kit is returned if you cancel. Checked 2026-10-19, confirm at starlink.com. Residential 100 is $75, Residential 200 is $115, and Residential Max is $150 on the Canada service-plans list. That rental is separate from the provincial rebate, and it is not a promise the order is free at checkout. The price at checkout depends on your address and plan. Monthly fees are not eligible for the rebate.

If the hardware invoice is $0, the rebate is based on the one-time receipts you actually submit, such as shipping, tax, mounts, and installation, still up to $1,000. Ask Build NS which of those receipts count before you rely on them.
3. Optional: mount and professional install
If you want a permanent mount and would rather not climb a ladder, request help and we can connect you with a vetted local installer. The installer quotes the labour and parts. You pay the installer, keep the itemized receipt, and apply for the rebate yourself. We do not set the price to the $1,000 maximum.
Installers we refer may pay Phoenix a small finder's fee; it does not change your price. This request does not charge a card. Phoenix does not file the rebate and does not receive the cheque.
The form asks for a business name. A household can use the resident's name.
What the rebate covers
- Build NS reimburses one-time setup costs up to $1,000: hardware, taxes, shipping, and installation.
- Monthly subscription fees are not eligible.
- Only eligible unserved addresses qualify. The address finder is the check.
- You buy from Starlink or a verified reseller and keep itemized receipts.
- You apply yourself, online or by mail. Build NS mails a cheque in about 8–10 weeks.
- Phoenix does not file claims and does not receive the rebate.

Fake Starlink sellers
Build NS warns that unverified sellers may pose as Starlink. Starlink does not currently have a phone number in Canada for orders — a number you find online is not Starlink. Buy hardware and accompanying eligible items only from starlink.com or a verified reseller. Receipts from fraudulent companies may get an application denied.
Get your rebate
- Ask for an itemized invoice: labour, mounts and parts, tax, and the installer's business name and contact.
- Keep the receipts. The rebate amount is based on the receipts you include with the application. Do not email receipts unless Build NS staff ask for them.
- Apply yourself, online or by mail. Phoenix does not file the claim.
