## Xplore alternatives
Xplore alternatives nationally are the local phone or cable company at that address, and Starlink where fixed wireless and wire do not reach. In Nova Scotia those wired names include Purple Cow, Bell Aliant, and Eastlink. Rogers, Telus, and Bell are address-gated in the provinces where they sell.

## Xplore outage, slow service, or a price increase
No Xplore outage score is published here. The homepage footnote says prices may increase during the subscription, without a date. Satellite prices on xplore.ca/j3 carry a © 2024 mark, so treat SAT 25, SAT 50, and SAT 100 as unverified for 2026.

## Starlink vs Xplore
Starlink vs Xplore: the Ultra 100 promo is $49 then $75. Starlink Residential 100 is $75 on the service-plans table, in select areas. SAT 100 is listed at $129 with $0 hardware and $99 install on a page marked © 2024. If that page is current, the monthly figure is higher than Residential 100. If it is stale, the address check wins. Do not mix the portable 5G Go hub into a home-install quote.
Checked 2026-10-19, confirm at starlink.com.
Residential 100 is $75, Residential 200 is $115, and Residential Max is $150 on the Canada service-plans list.

## Rural and town
Rural and small-town addresses are the usual Xplore fixed-wireless footprint. A town with fibre or cable should price that service on its own page. Xplore does not publish one rural map that replaces the address check.

## When Xplore is the better choice
- Fixed wireless or 5G Ultra is offered and the intro price is the offer you want.
- The address check returns a tower product and you do not want a dish.
- You need the portable hub specifically, at the $119.99 price on the 5G Go page.
