## Telus alternatives
Telus alternatives in BC and AB are the other wire at that address, often Shaw-branded or Rogers service where it is offered, plus Xplore and Starlink where fibre is not. This check did not verify a Shaw transition page. In Nova Scotia, compare Purple Cow, Bell Aliant, Eastlink, and Xplore instead.

## Telus outage, slow service, or a price increase
No Telus outage score is published here. The price change that was read is the end of a promo: month-to-month is the standard price with no early termination fee, and a 2-year term carries a fee. One footnote starts that fee at $480, declining $20 a month. A 5 Gig footnote uses $360, declining $15 a month. Other footnotes on the pages read that day included a $10 Wi-Fi Plus charge, a $20 unlimited-data add-on after month 24, and a $200 professional-install note. They apply to the offers those footnotes describe.

## Starlink vs Telus
Starlink vs Telus: PureFibre, where it is offered, is the wired comparison. A footnote listed $105/mo for months 1-60 for new internet customers in BC or AB on a 2-year term, with unlimited data included in that offer. 5 Gig was from $135 on a 2-year term, regular $165. Starlink Residential 100 is $75 on the service-plans table. Symmetrical speeds are Telus's claim, not a measurement from this desk. Installation was $100 on month-to-month and waived on a 2-year term in the 5 Gig footnote.

Residential 100 is $75, Residential 200 is $115, and Residential Max is $150 on the Canada service-plans list.

## Rural and town
Town and city addresses in BC and AB are where the PureFibre footnotes apply, still only if the address check offers them. Rural addresses outside that plant are the Starlink comparison. Nova Scotia towns are not on this Telus card.

## When Telus is the better choice
- PureFibre or another Telus internet plan is offered at the address.
- You want month-to-month to avoid the early termination fee, or you accept the 2-year fee in exchange for the promo.
- You do not want a dish, and the wire reaches the building.
