## Bell Aliant alternatives
Bell Aliant alternatives in Nova Scotia are Purple Cow, Eastlink, Xplore (still searched as Xplornet), and Starlink where the wire does not reach. Fibe, Wireless Home Internet, and cable are different products. The address check is the list that matters.

## Bell Aliant outage, slow service, or a price increase
No Bell Aliant outage score is published here. Wireless Home Internet is listed at 25 Mbps, up to 50 advertised, and the page says it slows after 600 GB. The same page says the current price is subject to increase. Fibe promo prices step up after 12 months on the rows below. That is a published promo end, not a separate outage.

## Starlink vs Bell Aliant
Starlink vs Bell Aliant in Nova Scotia: Fibe 1.5 was read at $90 for 12 months, then $115, with much higher upload than any Starlink residential row. Fibe 500 at $85 then $110 was not read on Bell's own page, so it stays [U]. Wireless Home Internet at $50 is the lowest monthly figure on this door if 25 Mbps and the 600 GB slowdown fit the household. Starlink Residential 100 is $75 on the service-plans table, in select areas, and needs sky view.
Checked 2026-10-19, confirm at starlink.com.
Residential 100 is $75, Residential 200 is $115, and Residential Max is $150 on the Canada service-plans list.

## Rural and town
In a town with Fibe, the fibre rows are the comparison. On a rural address, Wireless Home Internet is the Bell Aliant product that was priced for rural fixed wireless. If that antenna is weak or absent, Starlink is the satellite row. A town or county name does not decide either one.

## When Bell Aliant is the better choice
- Fibe is offered at the address and you want the upload on those rows.
- Wireless Home Internet is offered, 25 Mbps is enough, and the $50 price matters more than the 600 GB slowdown.
- The yard is heavily treed and a dish would not see the sky.
