Order Starlink through our referral link and you'll get CA$140 once you've been subscribed for two months, as cash or service credit. We get the same reward for referring you. (See [Starlink's referral terms](https://starlink.com/support/article/eee7e99e-a736-f16e-9506-c446dd70fb16).)
Eligible referrals only. Starlink sets the amount and can change it. Source: https://starlink.com/support/article/eee7e99e-a736-f16e-9506-c446dd70fb16
Hardware may be rented; any activation fee and terms are shown at checkout. Canada's Starlink Terms (DOC-1022-91014-56) allow a rental kit with an activation fee, and the kit is returned if you cancel.

Disclosure: Referral link: we may receive Starlink service credit if you order through it. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Starlink/SpaceX. You pay the same price either way.
Bonus: the Alberta rebate could cover up to $1,000 of hardware and install costs if your address qualifies. It's a rebate you apply for; monthly service isn't included. Setup notes: /internet/alberta/starlink-setup-rebate. Official finder: https://www.alberta.ca/alberta-satellite-rebate-program.

Your hardware and installation could be covered by a provincial rebate (you pay up front, and Alberta reimburses up to $1,000). Eligible purchases run from August 11, 2026 to March 31, 2027. Rental is not eligible.
This is a provincial rebate. You pay eligible costs up front. It is not instant and it is not free at checkout. Alberta reimburses later if they approve the application. Phoenix does not offer the rebate and does not file it.

## Do I qualify?
Answer these three yourself. They do not submit anything, and they do not decide eligibility.
- Is this an Alberta household without high-speed broadband, and not in a government-funded broadband project that will serve it?
- Will you purchase the satellite hardware, not rent it, between August 11, 2026 and March 31, 2027?
- Is this the one rebate for this household?
If you answer yes to all three: **Likely yes, check the official map.** Alberta decides on the official map. The map is subject to final review. You still pay up front. The rebate is a reimbursement later, not a discount at checkout.

## What the official page says
Eligible households in rural and remote Alberta can apply for a one-time rebate of up to $1,000 for LEO satellite internet hardware, installation, and applicable taxes.
The household is not served by high-speed internet and is not included in a government-funded broadband expansion project that will serve it. For this program, high-speed satellite service must be at least 50 megabits per second download, 10 megabits per second upload, and 50 milliseconds latency or less.
Starlink kits currently meet those connection requirements. Other suppliers may be added while intake is open. Kits can be purchased from Starlink and from authorized vendors listed on the Starlink website.
Starlink Canada offers kit rental and purchase. The Alberta page says: when buying from Starlink, buy a hardware kit instead of renting it. Hardware rental costs are not eligible.

### Eligible expenses
- LEO satellite internet hardware, such as a dish and receiver kit, purchased from an authorized vendor.
- Installation services and supplies, such as mounting poles or kits, and additional cable and mounting brackets if needed.
- Applicable taxes on eligible hardware and installation.
- Purchases made between August 11, 2026 and March 31, 2027.

### Not eligible
- Optional accessories, such as Wi-Fi routers or extenders.
- Monthly internet service costs or subscription fees.
- Monthly hardware rental fees.
- Purchases to connect a business.
- Purchases before August 11, 2026 or after March 31, 2027.

### Limits
- Maximum rebate is $1,000 for eligible expenses per eligible household.
- Each verified Alberta.ca account can apply for up to 2 households.
- More than two eligible properties: the page says you can use the appeal process to request additional rebates.
- Owners and renters are eligible. Only one rebate can be used per household.

## Three steps

### 1. Check the official map
Use the eligibility map on the Alberta page. Enter a home address, a legal land description, or GPS coordinates, then drop a pin and use Check eligibility. A pin on the map is not a final decision. Alberta says locations shown as eligible remain subject to final review. This page does not claim that any specific address or community qualifies.
- Official page: https://www.alberta.ca/alberta-satellite-rebate-program

### 2. Purchase the kit
If the map is the path you want to try, purchase the hardware. Do not rent it. The Alberta rebate does not cover a rental kit. Hardware may be rented; any activation fee and terms are shown at checkout. Canada's Starlink Terms (DOC-1022-91014-56) allow a rental kit with an activation fee, and the kit is returned if you cancel. Checked 2026-10-19, confirm at starlink.com. Residential 100 is $75, Residential 200 is $115, and Residential Max is $150 on the Canada service-plans list. That rental is not the purchase this rebate requires, and it is not free at checkout.

### 3. Apply yourself
The Alberta page says: register for a verified Alberta.ca account, then apply after your first month of service. Include all eligible receipts and invoices for the open period, and direct deposit information. You can save before you submit. Phoenix does not file the application and does not receive the rebate.
- Apply from the official page: https://www.alberta.ca/alberta-satellite-rebate-program

## If the map says no
The page says eligibility uses National Broadband Map data from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, and that data may not reflect every service. If you believe the address is mapped wrong, or that 50/10 Mbps service is unavailable despite the map, the page says you can appeal through the program portal with the address and proof from internet providers in the area. You also appeal if you are applying for more than 2 households. This page does not decide appeals.
